In case you were unhappy that your Samsung Galaxy S3 did not get the recent
Android 4.3 update, then there is news for you,
Samsung has confirmed that the new Galaxy S3 update rollout has been resumed and
is now available globally.
In the past few weeks Samsung Galxay S3 Android 4.3 update was started but had issues with it therefore it was temporarily stopped .And before that Samsung
said they will be skipping Android 4.2.2 update and will be directly updated to Android
4.3 Jelly Bean. The South Korean electronics giant and the leader in the Smartphone Industry released the Android 4.3 update for Galaxy S3
right on time, but only to be halted later because of performance
issues.
Samsung Galaxy S3 started receiving the Android 4.3 update during the
first week of November in parts of Europe, but eventually during the
middle of the month, Samsung pulled out the update citing performance
issue reasons. Some of the issues that were faced by users included
- Wake up lag, Random Freezing, Huge battery drain, Bluetooth Audio
issues during playback in car, Stuttering music playback with stock
Samsung music app, Device freezes as soon a call is received (Black
screen issue), Poor RAM management, Wi-Fi issues and many many more. Owing to
these setbacks, the company stopped the update and said that they are
working on the issue.
Now that the company has reworked on the update and the issues
have been completely solved. The new firmware update has the build number I9300XXUGMK6 and
is said to be built on the 28 of November. The new update includes
updated GPU drivers and also an updated Samsung's QWERTY virtual keyboard.
There will be an overhaul of the UI including a new lock screen,
updated S-Voice and more features that will be quiet similar to the ones seen
on the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3.
Finally, after a couple of weeks, Samsung seems to have solved the
bugs in Android 4.3 firmware for Samsung Galaxy S3 as it has started
seeding the update for International version (I9300) in parts of Europe.
The update is expected to roll out gradually to other parts of the
world and India too. So lets check if this update works neatly or it has bugs.
