Samsung has started sending press invites for a
Galaxy phone launch on Monday, December 23. Now we can confirm that the
phone launch will be the successor to the ultra-successful Galaxy Grand. A source told us that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Grand 2. There is no word on the pricing, but we expect it to be priced around the Rs 22,000 mark.
The Galaxy Grand 2 was announced last month and packs a 5.25-inch (1280 x 720 Pixels) capacitive touch
screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on
Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with
LED flash and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera. It comes with
dual-SIM capabilities, packs 1.5GB RAM and a 2,600 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 has a faux leather finish on the back,
similar to the Galaxy Note 3 and comes with dual SIM support. Continuing the Galaxy legacy, the Grand 2 comes with some smart features
that continue such as Story Album to organize pictures, an S Translator
app, a Samsung Hub, S Travel, Samsung Link and more. It is also
expected to get some features from high-end Galaxy models, but support
for Galaxy Gear is still unknown.
