HTC has quietly expanded its smartphone portfolio with the new Desire
400. The new HTC smartphone has been spotted on a couple of regional
websites. However, the different websites have different versions of the
specifications of the smartphone.
HTC’s Russian site has just listed a new dual SIM mid range smartphone,
the HTC Desire 400. The device features a 4.3 inch WVGA screen and a
quadcore Snapdragon 200 processor.

HTC had earlier announced the Desire 501, Desire 601 and Desire 700 dual
SIM versions, and is now getting ready to swell the family with
probably an even more affordable device. The Russian site lists the
specifications of the phone as sporting a 4.3 inch S-LCD2 screen
featuring WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution. A quadcore Snapdragon 200
processor clocked at 1.2 GHz powers the device. A 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of
expandable internal storage are present onboard. 8 MP primary camera
with f/2.0 aperture and HTC’s custom ImageChip handle imaging
responsibilities, while video calls are assisted by a 1.6 MP front
facing shooter. The device packs a 1800 mAh battery onboard which should
help power the device for an entire day. On the software front, all
HTC’s customizations like its home-brewed custom Sense interface and HTC
BlinkFeed are present on the device. HTC has lately launched quite a few dual-SIM Desire smartphones – Desire
700 dual-SIM, Desire 601 dual-SIM and Desire 501 dual-SIM.
GSMArena
is reporting that HTC’s Ukrainian site has listed the same handset with
slightly different specifications. The Ukrainian version of the device
differs by featuring a dual core 1 GHz processor, 5 MP primary camera,
and a VGA front facing shooter.
