Out of the three new variants of the Elife E7, the highest version runs on a Qualcomm 8974AC(Snapdragon 800) quad-core chip clocked at 2.5 GHz, which is considerably faster than the 8974AB chip. This version comes with globally unlocked LTE and EVDO compatibility along with 32 GB Storage and 3GB RAM. Gionee has priced this variant of the Elife E7 at RMB 3,499, and will be available in India starting January.
The Cheapest version will come with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage and a 3G radio on a Snapdragon 800 (8947) chipset clocked at 2.2GHz on Quad Cores. This one has been priced for RMB 2699, and Gionee claims that India will get this version for around the Rs. 26900 price bracket.
The standard features of the Gionee Elife E7 include a 5.5 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 400 ppi (vs the rumored 2K display). The screen is the Gorilla Glass 3 and is responsive to gloves, wet hands, and even house/car keys (you might not want to do that). The most interesting aspect of the Elife E7 is the main 16 MP camera with a 1/2.3 inch sensor and a 1.34 micron pixel size. The sensor of this camera was especially designed for Gionee by Omnivision, it uses a Largan 6 element lens and Sicoh autofocus motor along with a sapphire crystal lens cover. The Front camera is no less carrying an 8 MP sensor with a 1.4 micron pixel size, which makes it the same as the on the iPhone 5.Both the cameras are capable of Full HD video at 30 fps and initial images are sharp with lots of detail and swift autofocus. The new camera features include new auto make up effect
, Intelligent scene recognition function, Gradient Air Level Composition, Footprint mode and a lot more.
AMIGO 2.0 has been included on the new Elife E7 , the company plans to bring it to India at launch, with improved operations for Indian services. The device presently runs on Android 4.2 and company promises at least Android 4.3. Phone owners can now unlock the Elife E7 with gestures, double tapping and even with voice, by calling out “Hey Amigo”.
The Elife E7 will be equipped with some basic features like Bluetooth, WiFi and will support OTG. The device is launched in seven colors pink, yellow, blue, white, black, orange and green.
